Meseta can boast a line of products with organic and Fairtrade certification, available in different formats: beans, pods, ground coffee and Nespresso* compatible capsules.

For Coind, organic coffee is not just a passing trend: for over twenty years, the company has been one of the major Italian players in the segment of products from organic agriculture, from which, every year, it sources more and more of the raw materials needed for its products.

For some time, Coind has been certified by the CCPB, the Consortium for the Control of Organic Products, which monitors the companies that sell organic products and ensures their strict compliance with specific standards regulating the services provided, the products supplied, the company processes and the equipment used.

In addition to protecting the environment, Coind also focuses closely on the health of the workers engaged in the coffee harvesting and production activities. In this sense, it is the proud holder of both Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade certifications.

The Rainforest Alliance certification, the result of the merger between UTZ and Rainforest, guarantees consumers sustainable supply and production processes, from harvest to shelf. To be certified, all Rainforest Alliance suppliers must follow a code of conduct applicable to their farming methods, working conditions and eco-friendliness. The result is obviously a better production, a better environment and a better life for all of us.

Similarly, Fairtrade contributes to the sustainable development of its certified producers, who obtain more favourable sales conditions and the opportunity to work towards improving the social and environmental wellness of their community. In line with the principles of fair trade, the association guarantees that the producer will be paid the “correct” price, regardless of any market fluctuations, which is sufficient to cover their average production costs, and an additional “Fairtrade Premium” margin, which can be invested in development projects for the entire community.
